Technical Industries, Inc., a Division of Energy & Technology, Corp. Received the First Offshore Deepwater Project for Chevron at the Abbeville facility.

Technical Industries, Inc., a division of Energy & Technology, Corp. ( trading symbol ENGT ) received the first offshore deepwater project for Chevron at the Abbeville facility. The proprietary VisonArray 3D O.D. and wall imaging technology, developed by TI’s Engineering and Research department, has again proven viable for deepwater projects.

Dr. Michael Payne working for BP requested the technology be developed in early 2000 in order to venture safely into deep-water drilling. This technology was proven in several deepwater projects including Crazy Horse, Mad Dog, Holstein, Mississippi Canyon, Hibernia, and many others. BP stopped using VisonArray 3D imaging and other new technologies under engineer Steve Morey, prior to the BP Macando explosion.
